Dear Walkers

Our thanks go to everyone who came and took part in the Twilight Walk Cumbrae on the 23 rd May 2009. What a day!! The heavens opened – we all got soaked – but everyone made it round the island – some in record time.

The weather was so bad that imagine our total surprise when even more walkers arrived on the day. Indeed, so many friends arrived to register on the Saturday that we ran out of medals. More have been ordered so those few who did not get a medal will not miss out – they will get a medal through the post. However, please, please remind everyone to make every effort to register beforehand so that we can plan ahead.

500 walkers now take part in the event – and your fundraising is fantastic – we are sure that we shall beat last year’s total.

We have had loads of letters saying that the rain increased the challenge but did not spoil the fun – I think the photographs tell the same story. Thank you all again for taking part - and for spreading our message that keeping fit is so important for continued health.
