How to Check

• Stand in front of a mirror so that you may see as well as feel the breast.
• Keep your fingers together and move them over the whole of the breast.
• Raise one arm and using the opposite hand check the entire breast.
• Remember to check right up into the arm pit because breast tissue extends there too.
• Check your breasts regularly and become familiar with what is normal for you. This way you are more likely to notice any changes should they occur.
